The “No gi Ezekiel from mount” is a highly effective Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu choke that is executed without the use of a traditional gi. This technique involves the practitioner being in the dominant mount position, where they are on top of their opponent, straddling them. With their arms, the BJJ practitioner forms a figure-four grip, where one arm goes under their opponent’s head and reaches towards the opposite shoulder, while the other arm goes over the opponent’s arm and reaches towards the back of their head. This tight grip creates immense pressure on the opponent’s neck, cutting off their blood flow and air supply, leading to a swift submission if not defended properly. The No gi Ezekiel from mount is a versatile and potent submission, demonstrating the artistry and effectiveness of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in no-gi situations.
