Welcome to our YouTube channel where we bring you the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) techniques that will help take your grappling skills to the next level. In this video, we will be focusing on a specific BJJ technique that is fundamental yet highly effective – the Armbar from the Guard.

The Armbar from the Guard is a submission technique that can be utilized from various positions, but in this video, we will be demonstrating it specifically from the closed guard. The closed guard is a position where you have your legs wrapped around your opponent’s waist, controlling their posture and limiting their mobility.

To execute the Armbar from the Guard, you will start by establishing a strong closed guard position, maintaining control over your opponent’s posture. From here, you will target one arm of your opponent, preferably the one on the same side as your dominant hand. To do this, you will utilize your legs and hips to create an angle, making it easier to isolate and control your opponent’s arm.

Once you have isolated the arm, you will secure a grip on your opponent’s wrist and begin to break their grip by extending your hips and pulling their arm across your body. This will put significant pressure on your opponent’s shoulder and make it difficult for them to defend the submission.

Next, you will transition your legs from a closed guard position to an open guard position, bringing one leg over your opponent’s head while maintaining control of their arm. This leg over your opponent’s head will act as a barrier, preventing them from escaping the submission.

With your legs in position and your opponent’s arm controlled, it’s time to finish the Armbar. By extending your hips and arching your back, you will apply intense pressure on your opponent’s elbow joint, forcing them to tap out or risk injury.

Throughout the video, our experienced BJJ instructor will break down the technique step by step, providing detailed explanations and demonstrations. They will also offer valuable tips and common mistakes to avoid, ensuring you can execute the Armbar from the Guard with precision and efficiency.

Whether you are a beginner looking to expand your BJJ knowledge or an advanced practitioner seeking to refine your technique, this video is a must-watch. So, grab your gi, find a training partner, and get ready to master the Armbar from the Guard. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe to our channel for more high-quality BJJ content.
